BirchGrove Siberians SIBERIAN
KITTEN PICTURES We love kittens and that is what got us interested in being breeders: the thought of having kittens around! If you are considering purchasing a kitten and are struggling with how to decide on a breed and a breeder, please refer to this link: TICA: What to Expect from a Responsible Breeder http://www.tica.org/html/english/cats/adoption.php When are kittens available? Looking for a Siberian kitten can be frustrating. The kittens are in high demand and the supply is limited. Expect to look for a few months before finding just the right kitten. If you choose to work with us, we will ask you to fill out a kitten application form and make a $50 deposit for an application fee. We will be open with you about our waiting list and how long you can expect to wait for your kitten given your specific request (color, gender). We have one to five litters per year. In the year 2006, we will have 2 or 3 litters. Hardly a predictable science, is it? Typically, people sign up with us by making out a kitten application and sending us an application fee of $50. The usual wait is less than 3-6 months for a kitten. For specific requests (gender, color) it can sometimes be a year until the breeding pair that is capable of producing that color produces that particular kitten. If you sign on in the fall, the wait may be longer since females tend not to have litters during the winter months. How old is the kitten when it leaves BirchGrove Siberians? Kittens are generally available at twelve weeks. We believe a kitten is optimally socialized at this age. The kitten is comfortable with its littermates, has learned all it should from its mother, is properly weaned, and is ready for a new home. Kittens that leave earlier than twelve weeks may have problem behaviors (such as kneading, drooling, and sucking). There is still lots of kitten time left if you get a kitten at twelve weeks so please be patient. What do kittens cost? Our kittens are priced according to what other breeders are charging. Please call or email for more specifics on pricing. What color kittens do you have? We never know until they are born and, even then, it
may take several weeks to figure out the true color. However, we know
what colors the parents are capable of producing. Those are: browns,
silvers, reds, creams, blues, and torbies. What do you expect of a buyer? Bottom line, I expect you to love your kitten as you would a valued member of your family. By signing our sales agreement for a pet quality kitten, a Buyer agrees to abide by the following conditions of sale: (1) that the kitten will be kept indoors at all times
