We realize that where you purchase your kitten is an important decision, so on this page, we will attempt to impart the quality of our kittens and their temperament via testimonials.

Nik's new parents, Oregon March 2002:
We have the smartest, cutest, cuddliest kitten. There is no doubt in my mind, he is the pick of the litter! He is eating and has very good bathroom habits! As we speak he is laying across my shoulders, sound asleep. We are totally in love with him and at his beck and call! Thank You!

Nik's parents bought another BirchGrove Siberian kitten, Belka Grace, about 7 months later.

Baxter is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for everything and for staying in touch. Just to let you know, all of the breeders that I had come in contact with, know you as a reputable and fabulous breeder, and I agree. .............K.S. SanFrancisco, Nov '05

It's Tanya & Brad from California , Sept 2005
Just wanted to update you on Abigal (or Abby Pie as we've started calling her).

I wanted to send you some updated photos (long overdue). She's just the light of our lives. We talk every day
about how we can't imagine our lives without her...how we can't believe there was a time when we didn't
have her. She's just so, so special. Hope all is well there, and thank you. :)

Buster's new dad, Florida, Nov 2001

He had his first visit to the vet and is (as you know) in perfect health. He got a variety of shots & tests and didn't seem to mind at all. Everyone thought he was absolutely beautiful. He eats like a horse, runs around the house like a banshee, attacks Natasha unmercifully, and has been the receipiant of my squirt bottle as he climbs up my speaker grill cloth en
route to the top of the equipment cabinet. Then he gets tired, climbs into my lap purring, and goes to sleep. He is an absolute love. He is also twice the size as when he first got here. He will be a hulk. Anyway, we could not be more delighted.

Buzz's new family, Forest Grove, OR, July 2006:

His personality is kittenish and wonderful!! He purrs most of the time and talks a lot. He is not skittish and is friendly to everyone. He comes (on his own time) when called and he charms everyone. He does like to get up when there is any light in the morning so we are looking forward to the lengthening of days Until then Buzzie, Linda, and I are early risers. He is a wonderful addition to our family.
Thank you, John

Mischka's new mom, OR Mar2002

Mishka has a wonderful purr and he loves to play and cuddle. He's very good natured. Even with teeth coming in, after shots at the vet's, or being left alone while I'm at work, Mishka is sweet, affectionate and funny. For example, the first time he caught his reflection in a mirror, the ears flattened, the pupils grew huge and finally after much glaring, a tiny little hiss came out. We couldn't help but laugh.

He delights in looking out the window and listening to the birds. His motor/hunting skills are developing. In 2 weeks I've seen a marked improvement in his accuracy at catching balls. The down side is that the wee hours of the morning are a great time to chase those balls, at least in his opinion. Anyway, Mishka is a joy and a pain, just as he should be.

Have a great day and thanks for this sweet, beautiful kitty.

Natasha's new mom, Washington Dec 2001

She is doing great! She is gaining size and weight rapidly. We have taught her to fetch her bean bag since she loves to play with it so much. I am going to start teaching her other tricks when she is a little older since she is as smart as another cat I had who could sit, lay down, shake
hands and roll over. If she wants to that is! The other cat liked doing tricks so
we'll see. She is so funny playing with her little bean bags racing around the house. She goes around the living room, across the hall then up the stairs and throws herself and her bean bag till she is hanging off the edge of the balcony over the living room ( a drop of about 10 feet onto
carpet if she fell). She went a little too far the second time she did it and I think
she scared herself thank goodness. We could have made a "hang in there" poster.

Treasure's new family, Spokane, Nov '04

Treasure is certainly aptly named, he is quite a treasure to our family. He does all the things a kitty should; he plays with all of us, purrs when we pet him, sits next to us wherever we are, and sleeps with the children. What a great cat!! We are all quite taken with him, thanks again for raising such a dream!!

And from a couple who signed up on our waiting list after a visit, March 2002

Thank you so much for allowing us to visit your home and spend time with your kittens and cats. It was so much fun. We both enjoyed meeting you two and like how you brought up those kittens. Your cats are sooo beautful!

And from Leo & Mary, November 2006:

We love our kitten Chippy! He is dear , sweet, playful and very smart. I showed him his food and litter box several times on Thursday when we arrived home, and he mastered it immediately.

Chippy slept on our lap most of the way home and was full of energy when we got home. He has not cryed and lots of purring. He seems to have settled in well and we are having a great time.

Gordon H., Sunny Valley, OR, Feb 2007

This cat can sleep on my chest. I am so allergic but this cat? I am having no reaction to him. I am a believer!

And from Zhi Zhi's mom, Washington:

Zhilina is now ten pounds. She has not had any health problems at all. She doesn't know she is not human. Zhi Zhi is VERY social. She is convinced that all company is here to see her. We have had a couple parties and she has to be right in the middle of everything.
I take her to school a couple times a month. My 2nd graders love her and whenever they earn some sort of reward of their choice, they choose what they call a "Zhi Zhi Day." She got many valentine pictures colored for her last week. Zhilina walks across their desks and likes to lay across their work and bat their pencils out of their hands. When there are no kids in the building, she will follow me in the hall like a puppy and go into any open doors to snoop and visit.
I just love my baby. She is quite attached to me and is never too far away, even if I can't see her. Zhilina is definitely very spoiled and I am pretty sure she has more toys than some kids. She loves her toys and I have never had a cat that has actually played with toys as much as she does.

from Spokane Dec '05:
Coming home last Tuesday and seeing the most precious kitten in our home was the best surprise I could have had.
I naturally decided to sleep in the office with her on the first night since I could tell she was looking around for her buddies. She managed to sleep in about four differant spots throughout the night but seemed more curious than bothered. Every moment with her is treasured. She is full of play, loves to nap and is very trusting. She lays on her back and lets us rub her belly. She also lets me hold her little paws. She is a little sweetheart to any new friends and any one who has met her, loves her personality. We adore her needless to say. She is very smart, very diligent in keeping herself clean and seems to love us both!!! Kisa is just a beautiful kitten and we love her after one week. Thank you very much for changing our lives

Maximillian's family in Bakersfield, Nov'04
This is the nicest kitty I've ever been around. Everyone falls in love with him. We are under his spell already and he is being spoiled with a lot of love and attention.

D'Mitri's new mom, Washington Aug 2001:
Oh Alida, he is just wonderful! Dmitri adapted beautifully to his new surroundings and quite happily explored his new house. While I was at the baseball game that night, my daughter spent hours playing with him and was so happy to be able to see him before she left for college. She, of course, fell in love. He spent the first night cuddled up with me and he didn't cry at all. He is so
outgoing and self-assured! He's eating well and using his new litter box just fine. After only a week, the big retriever and my 3 yr. old male cat have totally accepted him and they are like the 3 amigos.

Beau's family in Palm Springs, July 2006: He is the king of the Castle.we just love him. (see Beau's picture on the Siberian Kitten page)
______________________________

Dora's family in Virginia, July '06: Dora is doing great. She was a trooper on the airplane (only time she meowed was when the lady next to me was asking about her ... 3+ hours into the trip. my neighbor was extremely impressed because it was obvious how smart Dora was). In the airport (both ends) she was quiet, and everyone "oohhhed and aahhhed" over her. although they could only see her little golden eyes.

She is settling in to our home very well, and is incredibly playful ... and adventuresome ... and lovey. Andrei plays with her every day when he first gets home from work, and she is quickly bonding to him. She especially loves to sit on the top "floor" of her tower and can almost look him in the eye (not quite, as it is only about 5 foot tall, and he is 6'5"). She has a house full of toys, but is amazed at the wealth of birds outside the window, and the huge fish in the aquarium in the sunroom.

She is a delight, but I had forgotten how silly kittens can be (the Halloween cat stance, and the somersaults), and how they like to play in the middle of the night!

I tried to take a picture of her in her tower, but she never holds still long enough to get much of a shot!

From 'boat kitty's' mom, CA Sept 2005 (this cat will live on a yacht and I am envious!):

Our new bundle of fur is wonderful. We traveled down to Redding the
first day and he was very quiet, staying in the carrier most of the
time. When we got to the hotel he hid under the bed for about an hour
and then ventured out. After that we all became friends and he's been
a pistol ever since. Yesterday we drove for ten hours and made it back
to our desert home so we could take a one day break before heading to
Arizona. You think the little guy had been traveling for years, he's adapted to the car so well. He even eats and
drinks along the way. I don't think he'll have any trouble adjusting to
the boat next month.

We are still contemplating a name for him. He seems to have so many dimensions that it may take a little while longer. We will let you know as soon as we do. It was a pleasure to meet you, and be assured we will take good care of our new charge.

Kisa's family in Redmond, WA, Dec, '05:
We absolutely ADORE Kisa! She has had such an easy transition into her new home. The first night we came home, she found the litterbox before we even showed her where it was! She is very well behaved and extremely sociable. We recently had my family over to see her and she
quickly became everyone's best friend! It only took two days before my other cat became adjusted to her, and now they curl up and take naps together. She's the perfect kitten; loves to cuddle and loves to play! Thank you so much for our new addition!
